The thematic concept of VMworld 2021, “Imagine That”, was to show unlimited possibilities supported by technology in a variety of settings—whether the reforestation of fire damaged terrain, next generation leaps in transportation, or simply getting a new business office off the ground, the juxtaposition of the possible shown as neon line-work against photography is a compelling visual storytelling motif. This project included the creation of 3D models to create all neon line-work, custom photography of people in green screen environments, and compositing all pieces together to create a lifelike result.
